Travel Trailer & Fifth Wheel Dealers in Alvarado, TX
Alvarado sits right on I-35 south of Fort Worth, which is why a short stretch of town holds four travel trailer and fifth wheel lots. That is a small cluster for the traffic it pulls, and two of the four carry enough reviews to tell you plenty. I have bought two RVs and walked off a third lot, so here is how I read this one.

What the four lots look like
Motor Home Specialist is the heavyweight here, with 3,754 reviews and a 4.6 rating, and it sells new and used travel trailers and motorhomes with financing, service, parts and delivery on site. Holiday World of Alvarado also rates 4.6 across 1,157 reviews and handles new and used with trade-ins. Camping World runs 4.4 over 1,982 reviews and adds consignment. DFW RV Center is the small one at 4.0 and 28 reviews, with service and parts but no financing listed. Three of the four offer financing. The average rating across the group is 4.4, which is strong for this business.
Plan the drive around the big two
With nine more dealers nearby, Alvarado is worth a full day rather than a quick stop. Start at Motor Home Specialist and Holiday World, since their review counts are large enough to mean something and both score 4.6. Walk the actual units before you talk numbers. A travel trailer floorplan that looks fine in photos can feel tight once you stand in the galley, and fifth wheel hitches eat bed space you may want back. If a salesperson pushes you toward a unit you did not ask about, that is your cue to slow down. I walked from a third deal for exactly that reason and do not regret it.
Used inventory and what to check
Three of the four lots list used trailers, so the pre-owned aisle is the real draw. Get a pre-purchase inspection from someone who does not work for the dealer, even on a late-model unit. Ask about the roof, the slide seals and the date on the tires, because sitting inventory ages quietly. At delivery, do the walk-through with everything hooked up: water, power, slides, awning, fridge on both fuels. Record it on your phone. Camping World takes consignments, which means trade-in conversations there can move in your favor if you have a trailer to unload.

Questions people ask
How many travel trailer dealers are in Alvarado?
Four dealers in Alvarado sell travel trailers and fifth wheels, and another nine sit within driving distance. Three of the four also carry used units, so you have real choice in the pre-owned aisle.
Which Alvarado dealer has the best reviews?
Motor Home Specialist and Holiday World of Alvarado tie at 4.6. Motor Home Specialist has 3,754 reviews and Holiday World has 1,157, so both have enough feedback to trust the number. Camping World sits at 4.4 across 1,982 reviews.
Can I finance a trailer in Alvarado?
Yes. Three of the four Alvarado dealers offer financing. Get pre-approved at your own bank first, then let the dealer try to beat that rate. DFW RV Center does not list financing, so bring your own if you shop there.
What should I check before buying a used travel trailer?
Pay for an independent pre-purchase inspection, even on a newer unit. Look at roof condition, slide seals and tire dates, since sitting inventory ages quietly. At delivery, test water, power, slides, awning and the fridge on both fuels, and record the walk-through.
