Where to start
RV's For Less carries new and used travel trailers and holds a 4.6 rating from 105 reviews. B&B RV & Autos LLC is smaller with a 4.8 from 26 reviews and sells used only. Airstream of Knoxville rates 4.3 from 44 reviews and handles new and used motorhomes and travel trailers, plus financing, trade and delivery. Campers Inn RV of Knoxville has the volume, 943 reviews at 3.8, and offers financing, service, parts and trade. Start with the smaller lots if you want attention, or the big lot if you need service after the sale.
What the lots carry
Used inventory is on all four lots, so you can compare pre-owned units without driving all over town. Two lots list motorhomes and three list travel trailers. If you want a new travel trailer, RV's For Less and Airstream of Knoxville are the places to check. For a new motorhome, Airstream of Knoxville and Campers Inn are the options. Financing is available at three of the four, but get pre-approved by your own bank first so you know your number before you sit down at the desk.
Before you sign
Ask for a pre-purchase inspection on any used unit, even at a lot with a good rating. I skipped one once and paid for it later. Schedule the walk-through at delivery and test every system: water pump, fridge on both power sources, furnace, AC, slide seals. At Campers Inn, you can check the service department hours while you are there. Off-season buying can work in your favor when lots are quiet. The nearby dealers expand your options if these four do not have the floor plan you want.
