About Airstream of Des Moines
Airstream of Des Moines sits in Altoona and calls itself the exclusive Airstream dealership in the Des Moines area. The lot carries a wide range of the iconic trailers, from Bambi and Basecamp up through Flying Cloud, International, Globetrotter and Classic, plus Airstream Touring Coaches that include the Mercedes van. Financing and service are both part of the operation. The reviews point to a low-pressure sales floor. One shopper noted browsing a long while without being pounced on, and several people name Andy as the salesman who answered questions and let them take their time. Service gets its share of credit too, with Jill and Marvin called out as knowledgeable and easy to work with, and finance staff mentioned for smoothing the paperwork. Not every review is glowing. One buyer aired complaints about Airstream construction in general, pointing at fake wood flooring and wall carpet, and said parts felt overpriced. Worth reading the full reviews if that matters to you. The dealership holds a 4.6 rating across 17 Google reviews.
