About TrunkMate
TrunkMate builds SUV and minivan camper conversion kits out of Costa Mesa. Founded in 2021 by Grant Miller, the shop focuses on sleeping platforms that turn a regular vehicle into somewhere you can sleep. Delivery is listed as an option. The reviews are unusually consistent. People mention storage over and over, and the craftsmanship gets called out just as often. Several buyers describe talking through fit for their specific vehicle before ordering, and one notes the owner called personally after the order was placed. A Nissan Kicks owner says no one else had built anything for that vehicle. Others say the platform folds away fast and packs small enough to leave in. Customization is another theme that comes up a lot. Assembly support and shipping speed get fewer mentions. The BlitzBed and the Elevation kit are the two products named in reviews. If you have an odd vehicle and want to see whether a kit exists for it, this is the kind of place to ask first. Hours are posted; they are not open around the clock.
