About Trax Off-Grid
Trax Off-Grid builds custom overland expedition vehicles in La Grange, Kentucky. The shop describes itself as veteran-owned and American-made, and it also shows up under auto repair, so service work happens here alongside the builds. These are rigs meant for off-grid living and self-sufficient travel, put together for terrain that leaves other setups behind. The place has a 5.0 rating on Google, though that comes from a single review so far. That reviewer called the builds amazing and the team awesome, and said they would recommend Trax for an overland or off-road build. Short track record, but a strong word from the one person who left it. The lot is wheelchair accessible, with an accessible entrance, parking lot and restroom. Hours are posted, so check them before driving out. If you are planning a build for long stretches off pavement, this is a small La Grange operation worth a stop.
