About Mekkelsen RV Sales & Rentals
Mekkelsen RV has been selling and renting campers out of East Montpelier for 51 years, and it's still family owned. The lot carries over 200 new and used RVs, with brands like Salem Hemisphere, Kodiak, Aspen Trail, Sunray, Sunlite, Four Winds and Gulfstream's Vintage and Vista lines. Cardinal Luxury and Limited Series are listed as coming soon. Reviewers tend to bring up two things: the sales staff and the service department. Several people describe their salesman as not pushy and upfront, and one drove two hours back to buy again. Others talk about quick repairs, including a water pump fix for a rental rig and a mirror replacement on a Class A. One customer had a leak found during inspection that the shop fixed before delivery. Financing, parts and delivery are part of the offering. When a service job missed the mark for one buyer, the owner met them at the shop to go over the repairs. The dealership sits at a 4.2 rating across 119 Google reviews.
