About Imperial Trailer Sales & Service
Imperial Trailer Sales & Service is a third-generation family business that started in the 1940s as a service station and home heating oil company. They began selling used camping trailers in the 1950s and later focused on RVs. The lot is on a side street in Troy, and the team is known for being straightforward and not pushy, according to reviewers. One customer said they wished they'd found the place sooner after buying their seventh trailer. Reviewers often mention Gary and Scott by name, praising their knowledge and how they explain things during the walkthrough. A customer with a broken axle and leaf springs said the shop got them back on the road the same day. Others appreciate the parts counter: when an emergency window shattered, Imperial contacted the manufacturer and had a replacement shipped to the customer's home. Not every visit goes smoothly. One reviewer, with an animal charity, felt turned away when they asked about a wiring issue. Still, most feedback highlights honest staff and easy dealings, which helps explain the 4.7 rating across 115 reviews.
