About Discount General RV & Premier Portable Buildings
This is a small, veteran-owned lot in Dothan run by Rick and Ashlee. Not a big corporate sales floor. They sell used motorhomes and travel trailers, and they also build portable buildings, carports and sheds on the side. Reviewers keep mentioning the pricing, and several say staff took time to explain how an RV works to first-time buyers. Service is part of the picture too. One family had axle trouble on their trailer and reviewers say Ashlee handled the photos, measurements and follow-up with the warranty company while they stayed in their rig. Another driver with blown tires on the way to Panama City got a used tire from the shop. Not every review is warm. One buyer says to check that everything works before you sign and drive off the lot. Read the reviews and look the unit over closely. Call ahead about hours and what is on the lot.

What renters mention
“Incredible people with impeccable customer service. I find that the majority of the time, small dealerships like this are few and far between. My family and I purchased our first RV back in November of 2021 here.” – Dennis K., 4 years ago, on Google
“Fantastic experience. We looked all over for the right 5th Wheel RV. Others gave up on us or treated us like the novice we were.” – Rob H., 9 years ago, on Google
“I have now had my R.V. Trailor pushing two weeks. I brought it to the park. Set it up. And I had some repair issues. That I thought should have been repaired by Discount R.V. Well I was wrong. I bought it as is. I have never owned an R.V.” – Greg H., Edited 6 years ago, on Google
